Trying....

We have a cold snap again....I really thought spring was here! I did get a walk in on Sunday. Went back to work yesterday on first so no stress free walking. Today I am working 2nd shift so will definately get one in before I go to work. Will have to bundle up though!

Today is National Walking Day so get on out there and move :)

Sunny day

After a week of raining we are suppose to get sun today so that means I can go for a walk without wondering if I'm going to get soaked. I'll be walking later this morning for 30 minutes and will do some more crunches.

I've been taking my vitamins again which seem to make me feel alittle bit better. I added Magnesium to it. That is suppose to help with metabolism along with my regular of calcium, vit d, multivitamin and garlic.

Trying to be healthier

I have noticed that recently I have not been exercising or even motivated to try. I know that has a lot to do with my down mood, among other things, and not being able to sleep so I am going to try and remedy the situation. No one has to follow me, this is my journey but if you want to come along you can! There is just a lot going on, like everyone else, a full plate and I want to feel better about myself inside and out.

Even though it was drizzling out today I did walk for 30 minutes. I tried running, like I use too, but the road was way too muddy and I slipped a few times so walking it was and it felt good. I then did 50 crunches and 10 pushups. I do have to admit that Valerie Bertinilli (spelling) motivated me too. I don't really need to lose weight, although that would be an added bonus, I do need to tone up and eat better. I'm 5'7" and weight around 145 or 150. I just need to tone up my upper legs, belly and feel better.

This morning for breakfast I had a small bowl of Basic 4 cereal with 1% milk, coffee and some water. I'm thinking some of those apples in the fridge will be good for a snack and then salad for lunch. Thinking of making some turkey burgers for dinner tonight. All of us need to eat alittle healthier.

I'm going to try and blog everyday. It's harder when I'm working to maintain an exercise regime...I do a lot of walking at work in the hospital....but it's not stress free walking.
